Artist's Comments

My submission for *RikuHikari-Neo's Frerard contest. My prompt word was "falling". I couldn't decide if I wanted the literal meaning of the word fall, or the sort of way people fall for someone in love. So, why not combine them?

I started writing a fluffy/angst-face fanfiction and it twisted into the worst piece of literature I have ever written. And drawing Gerard falling just didn't seem "me" like. And honestly? I have no idea where this came from.

So, yes, that happens to be Gerard falling. But, wait, no Frank? Oh, he's there alright. But not there for Gerard.

Oh, and good luck reading Gerard's words. They're meant to be unread, its basically just gobbly-goob nonsense. The background words, though, make up the foundation for this picture. And I'm sorry for the lack of hand writing skillz :]

I don't know much about poetry but I can tell you something about the visual side: It looks really good and interesting. You don't see much of these hand made. The position of the character is almost perfect. I like this :)

Thank you! Yeah, I'm pretty sure its not even a poem. I really don't know what category this would be, its sort of half traditional art, but half literature :/

you know, I know I wasnt horribly enthusiastic about this when you first showed it to me, but it really is quite nice! I like how Gerard gets so desperate at the bottom of the page, and the abrupt end of the story, words, whatever, is like he was falling, and finally did hit bottom. :]
